The Labor Institute partners with the Center for Working Class Politics and the Rutgers University labor education program to produce extensive surveys on voter attitudes towards politics, policies, and alternative political institutions.
Our first survey found:
- Voters, especially working-class voters are eight percent less likely to support a Democrat compared to an independent even if their platforms are identical.
- Fifty-seven percent of all voters in Rust Belt states supported a new workers political association independent of the two major parties
We are now creating a new survey that focuses on ultra red districts to determine what kind of populist economic platform would have the most political support.
